NSS
N.S.S. :
The National Service Scheme (NSS) works effectively in the College. There are three units of the NSS (02 Gents units & 01 Ladies unit) having 50 volunteers in each unit. With the NSS motto in mind the volunteers engage themselves in the various out-reach programmes and activities, observe important days, conduct various camps etc. throughout the year for all round development of themselves.
Aims of N.S.S. :
The aim of N.S.S is to promote national consciousness and a sense of social responsibility and to inculcate discipline and a sense of dignity of labour among students. Its motto is ‘not me but you’. The college has three N.S.S. units (two Gents units & one Ladies unit) headed by the three Programme Officers and all three are meant for undergraduate students. Each unit consists of fifty students. The units undertake various programmes such as Awareness Rallies, Plantation, Blood Donation Camps, Health Check-up Camps, Campus cleaning etc on Normal Camps, One-day Camps and Special camps during Puja holidays and Summer Vacation. A particular village / slum is adopted for development activities. N.S.S. day is observed every year on 24th September.
