NCC

National Cadet Crops (N.C.C):

The College has One Platoon of N.C.C Senior Division (Army wing) with the strength of 65 cadets (both boys & girls) under one Officer. Students interested to join N.C.C are to fill in an application in the prescribed form available in the NCC office during Aug-Sept every year and become a part of the NCC wing of the college after being selected by facing a selection procedure conducted by the concerned higher authorities. All cadets are to abide by the rules and regulations of NCC as fixed from time to time and participate in different state level and national level camp/course. The cadets having ‘B’ & ‘C’ certificate and camp participation certificate do get weight-age at the time of admission.

One Platoon of N.C.C. senior division (Army wing) has been allotted to this college with a strength of 65 cadets and one officer. Students interested to join NCC shall have to fill in an application in the prescribed form availabe in the NCC office during July-August. Full scale clothing and equipment are issued to cadets who are responsible for their upkeep and maintenance. They have to return all such items of issue intact at the end of the session.

Aims:

To develop leadership, character, comradeship, sportsmanship and the ideal of service. To create a force of discipline and trained manpower in an emergency which could be of assistance to the country.

To provide such training to cadets as would enable them to obtain commission in the armed forces.

Incentives and Advantages :

Recruitments :

64 Vacancies in a year reserved for N.C.C. certificate holders in I.M.A if qualified by UPSC and SSB. Certificate holders are given weightage for recruitment in army and BSF, CRPF, paramilitary organizations. Preference is given to certificate holders even with lower mark at degree while considering Gazetted positions of CRPF.

Academic Concessions :

‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate holders are granted additional weightage of 3% and 5% marks respectively at the time of admission. Candents who attended any all India camp or qualified in any all India course are given additional weightage of 5%.

Camp/Course

Besides awarding B & C Certificate respectively the N.C.C. Organization conduct camps and course at both state and national level for 2nd 3rd year cadets. Additional weightage of 5% is also given to cadets who complete any of these.
